Jasmine Omay is the New Universal Woman Philippines 2025

 JASMINE OMAY AIMS FOR BACK-TO-BACK WIN AT UNIVERSAL WOMAN 2025

 

Jasmine Omay has been appointed as the Philippines’ official representative to the third edition of the forthcoming Universal Woman pageant, one of the youngest pageant platforms that celebrates the unique brilliance and beauty of women who are making a positive impact in the world.

 

The 25-year-old events host, commercial/print model and licensed pilot from Tarlac Province aims to replicate the historic feat of her predecessor, Cebuana queen Maria Gigante, who bagged the Universal Woman 2024 crown last March 2024.

 

In anticipation of this year’s competition scheduled from May 29 to June 9 in Jaipur, India, Jasmine had her official crowning and sashing at the Victoria Sports Club in Quezon City last Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

 

Asked about her initial reaction upon being informed about her appointment, Jasmine remarked, “It was just a surreal moment for me, with a lot of mixed emotions: excitement, nervousness and fulfillment.”

 

“I always believe that everything happens for a reason, and I can’t wait to see how things turn out in this wonderful journey.”

 

As part of her preparations, Jasmine disclosed, “I’m currently training for pasarela, public speaking, Q&A and just researching more about Universal Woman. Since it represents a ‘new era of beauty,’ I want to dig more about that aspect, and intensively align my battle plan along those lines.”

 

Jasmine also thanks her predecessor, Universal Woman 2024 Maria Gigante, for her precious advice. She shared, “One of the million tips that Maria gave me, which I loved, is just to stay genuine. There’s nothing more empowering than embracing our uniqueness and authenticity.”

 

What advocacy will she be highlighting for the competition?

 

She said, “For this journey, the social project I’m highlighting is my collaboration with the C.U.R.E. Foundation, a Cebu-based aftercare shelter for victims of online exploitation, particularly victims of online child trafficking and sexual abuse. I’ve been working with Teacher Nelia Cruz Sarcol, a philanthropist whom I look up to and this is one of our projects in the works.”

 

“When I was introduced to these young girls, I knew I could help them through education. These kids have gone through unimaginable hardships, and the least I can do is to help hasten their healing to enable them to embrace their future with more positivity.”

 

“Their enthusiasm was what inspired me to draw more awareness and support for this advocacy by sharing it with a compassionate and civic-minded global platform.”

 

Universal Woman PH National Director Arnold Vegafria feels confident about Jasmine’s performance in the Universal Woman 2025 prelims and finals.

 

“Our Filipina queens are always strong contenders in the global realm,” he affirmed.

 

“Of course, we can always hope and pray for a back-to-back win, but because of Jasmine’s rare blend of beauty, talent and purposeful advocacy, I’m optimistic that she can give us another crown.”
